Coach Carrie is originally from Jacksonville, FL and grew up swimming with the Bolles School Sharks.  She swam through age 14 when she was sidelined with a shoulder injury that required her to switch sports for a time during high school. She returned to swimming in college on the club level before joining a master’s team.
During Andrews' tenure at Furman, she spent about 2 years with Team Greenville’s 8&U entry level swimmers. She moved on to the University of Georgia to pursue her Masters of Education in Exercise Physiology and worked as an assistant age group coach for ABSC and as a member of the Jack Bauerle swim camp staff.
Andrews married former MAC coach Justin Andrews in January 2005 and spends much of her free time training to compete in triathlons. She has finished first or second in the North Carolina Triathlon Series and been ranked as an All-American (top 5% in the country) in her age group.
"The best thing about being a SwimMAC coach is helping children achieve the goals that they have set for themselves and realizing their capabilities.  I believe that competitive sports can teach people a lot about themselves," said Andrews.  "I certainly wouldn’t be the person I am today without swimming."
