Kathleen Baker

 Kathleen Baker

Currently in her freshman year and swimming at the University of California at Berkeley, Kathleen is the youngest member of Team Elite.  She grew up in Winston-Salem, NC with her parents Norris and Kimberley, and her older sister Rachel (a swimmer at Washington & Lee University). While her family kept their home in Winston-Salem, Kathleen made the commitment to join SwimMAC Carolina in Charlotte in 2011. During her time with SwimMAC, Kathleen was a member of several NAG-breaking relays and had a lot of success at the Junior and National levels. As a highly coveted college recruit, Kathleen committed to swimming at Cal during the 2014 early signing period. She competed for the U.S. in the 100m backstroke at the 2015 World Championships in Kazan and finished 8th. This summer will be her second trip to Olympic Trials - she competed as a 15-year-old in 2012 and swam three events.
