Kim grew up in Mt. Laurel, New Jersey where she swam competitively with the Jersey Wahoos. She went on to swim at the University of Miami, specializing in the distance freestyle events, and spent many summers training at the Jersey Shore where she enjoyed swimming in open water events.

In addition to her professional career as a nurse in the operating room, where she has spent 15 years as an OR manager/director, Kim has been coaching off and on since 1990. Her coaching carrer spans a variety of levels including highly competitive summer league swimming in New Jersey, YMCA coaching in Tulsa and Charlotte (where she met her husband, coaching another team), high school swimming in Charlotte and Tulsa (with her husband), and competitive team coaching in New Jersey. Kim has always made time to teach swim lessons as well, and has taught kids in New Jersey, North Carolina, Florida and Oklahoma.

Kim is taking time off from nursing full time to spend more time with her family and SwimMAC is fortunate to have her! According to Kim, the best thing about being a SwimMAC coach is "the ability to work with all ages through noncompetitive and competitive environments and help them grow and succeed with their personal goals!!"
