A Queens University graduate with a degree in graphic design, Micah moved to Charlotte to continue training with her Auburn University coach, David Marsh.  Originally from Pflugerville, Texas, Micah is part of an athletic family. Parents Scott and Carolina competed in soccer and track in college, and all three of Micah's sisters swam or competed in triathlons. Micah represented the USA in the 2012 Olympics in London, finishing 6th in her signature event, the 200 breaststroke. At the 2015 FINA World Championships, she won silver in the 200 meter breaststroke, and at the 2014 U.S. Nationals, she won that event and tied for first in the 100 breaststroke. 


Swimming accomplishments:

2015 World Championships - Silver in 200m breaststroke

2014 U.S. Nationals - 1st in 200m breaststroke, 1st (tie) in 100m breaststroke, 3rd (tie) in 50m breaststroke

2013 World Championships - Bronze in 200m breaststroke

2013 U.S. Nationals - 2nd in 200m breaststroke, 3rd in 100m breaststroke

2012 U.S. Olympic Trials - 2nd in 200m breaststroke, 7th in 100m breaststroke

2012 Olympics - 6th in 200m breaststroke
