Michael grew up in Charlotte, NC, and joined SwimMAC Carolina when he was 13 after several years of summer league swimming.  While competing with SwimMAC, Michael was a part of six national age group recording-breaking relays. After graduating from Charlotte Latin School in 2013, he took a spot on the swim team at the University of Missouri, where he currently trains in his junior year as a journalism major. Michael holds the Mizzou team records in the 50, 100 and 200 free, ranks second in the 200 IM and eighth in the 100 breaststroke.  During the summer of 2015, while training with Team Elite in Charlotte, Michael won the 100 meter free at the Speedo Sectionals in Athens with a time of 48.87 – ranking him as one of the fastest American freestylers. He went on to place 4th in the 50 free and 5th in the 100 free at the 2015 U.S. Nationals, earning him a spot on the U.S. National Team. Michael represented Team USA at the 2015 Duel in the Pool, where he swam the 3rd leg of the American record-breaking 4x100 freestyle relay (SCM). The 2016 U.S. Olympic Trials will be his first. 


Swimming accomplishments:

2015 Duel in the Pool - Chadwick swam the 3rd leg of the 400 m free relay that set a new SCM American record (3:05.42)

2015 Duel in the Pool - 5th in 50 and 100 freestyle events

2015 Tennessee Invite - 41.89 in 100 free ranks him 1st in NCAA

2015 U.S. Nationals - 5th in 100 free, 4th in 50 free

2015 U.S. National Team member


2015 NCAA - 5th in 100 free (top American finisher)
