You’ve survived holiday training and made it through exams, but swim practices are still difficult – mentally and physically. At this time of year, I would always think to myself, “When is the end?!”   Luckily, most of you know that championship season is right around the corner with several big meets happening at the end of February and beginning of March. It’s important to keep your sights set on achieving goals that were established at the beginning of the year.

SwimMAC had 36 of the 118 swimmers who qualified and accepted their spot in North Carolina Swimming's IMX Camp. Eligibility was based on the swimmers' 2015 long course IMX rankings. In addition, North Shark 3 coach Ashley Thompson was named to the staff for the event.

According the some of the SwimMAC coaches:

Goals met at the YSSC Dual Meet

The goals of the YSSC Dual Meet meet were to provide a racing environment coming off winter break training, create a prelim-final atmosphere to obtain experience going into the end of the season, work on race strategies and of course to out touch the other team in this dual meet environment as much as possible. All of those goals were achieved!
