Meet Julio Zarate!

Please welcome Julio Zarate to SwimMAC!  Julio joined our coaching staff in May and is just getting settled in Charlotte. He is currently assisting Russ Kasl with the South Senior 2 group and will take over as lead coach at the end of the summer.

Celebrations, achievements and fun stuff! So much happens at MAC!

There's always a lot going on with our SwimMAC family, but we have been especially busy lately. From our banquet to honor our Scholastic All-Americans and our graduating seniors, to participation in the Southern Zone Select Camp and the National Black Heritage Championship swim meet, and a fun open water practice at the US National Whitewater Center, there's been lots to celebrate and enjoy.

SwimMAC launches $6 million One Lane at a Time campaign

SwimMAC Carolina announces $6 million One Lane at a Time capital campaign.

SwimMAC Carolina announced the launch of a $6 million capital campaign at a press conference this afternoon, held at the Mecklenburg County Aquatic Center where the team is hosting the Arena Grand Prix at Charlotte. The One Lane at a Time campaign will fund the construction of a new aquatic center and expansion of or improvements to five existing facilities.

Notice anything different...?

SwimMAC Carolina has a new look! ,Same recognizable text, same great colors, just a little bit of an update. It's a clean, sleek, streamlined version of the logo that is known around the country as SwimMAC.

We'll still wear all of our awesome SwimMAC gear, but as we order new items we will use the new logo. You'll have your 'retro' logo gear and can soon begin adding to your new logo gear. Look for it on signage at this week's Grand Prix, and if you're in Uptown Charlotte this week, you can see it on our Grand Prix light post banners!

Happy Mother's Day

Thanks to all of the moms that schlep us back and forth to practice, wash our towels, hang our suits, keep us well-fed and hydrated, give us hugs of encouragement, and hugs of celebration, for volunteering at our meets and for generally being the awesome people that you are!!
